CHANGES WITHIN THE RATES APPEAL SYSTEM FOR THE REVALUATION 2000.

In the United Kingdom all General Rates payable are determined by the Rateable Value of the property BUT the fact is that 80% of our clients rateable values were incorrect and have been REDUCED!! and that’s our business.

IN THE PAST YEAR ALONE, THIS COMPANY HAS  OBTAINED IN EXCESS OF 2.5 MILLION POUNDS IN THE FORM OF REFUNDS/SAVINGS FOR OUR CLIENTS…THAT'S A FACT.

Your rateable value is the major determining factor of your rate liability (an amount you actually pay). It is payable now until the year 2000, but if a reduction is agreed on your 1995 rateable value, it may then be possible to make it retrospective to 1990. So far we have had agreed reductions of up to 49% for a number of our clients and in the majority of cases refunds have been backdated to 1st April 1990. We have also achieved refunds in excess of £500,000 on numerous occasions.

As saving you money is our sole source of income, we have a vested interest in achieving savings for you.

There has been much press/media coverage with regard to so called "Rating Consultants" (also referred to as "cowboys"), because they charge fixed fees and promise huge savings…then disappear with your fee. It is STRONGLY RECOMMENDED that you do not give anyone an advance payment, or survey fee, no matter what success they claim or promises of savings. At DMI we guarantee – no saving – no fee.

As we do not charge upfront fees….There is no way you can lose out….No Way.

The most important point here is that there are no advance, or survey fees payable, therefore, none of our work will actually cost you, as any fee comes from recouping money you have already paid out. Our fee is payable only after you have received such money/credit from the relevant authority.

The uniform Business Rate is just one of many areas where overcharges are rife. Quite often when bills are received it is assumed there is no option but to pay them, BUT IS THIS ASSUMPTION CORRECT?
